Billing & Accounts Receivable

Medical billing and Coding are crucial to any practice’s bottom line. Understanding how this impacts revenue is critical and requires an extra level of expertise in this area. Practice Resources, LLC provides a comprehensive billing and coding package including educating providers and staff of billing and coding rules and regulations.

Daily data entry and check posting

Practice Resources, LLC provides in-house data entry and check posting. PRL employees work in our Syracuse office and are always available for calls from staff and patients. You will have a specific biller(s) assigned to your account who is familiar with your staff, services, and patients.

Electronic claim submission

Electronic submissions are done on a daily basis; HCFA’s where necessary are printed and sent weekly. Patient statements are reviewed and sent weekly. The regular submission of claims ensures a steady cash flow for our clients.

Accounts receivable follow-up/ Analysis of claim denials

Accounts receivables are worked by the account biller. Denials are reviewed for source of error resulting in appropriate education and resubmission of claims whenever appropriate. Systemic issues are dealt with at the source for resolution.

Patient billing and phone calls

Patient statements are reviewed and sent on a weekly basis. PRL billers will answer all patient calls with regards to their bill and/or insurance issues.

Daily reconciliation of provider services

PRL billers will reconcile each day’s data entry with the provider’s schedule to ensure all services are being captured and billed to the appropriate carrier. A report of “open encounters” will be sent to the office on a regular basis for follow-up on needed notes or codes until the visit can be closed and billed to the carrier.

Deposit and charge reports are posted daily on the client portal

Reports are run daily in the Medent system and posted to the client portal for easy access by providers and office managers as designated.
